The Huffman Vikings basketball team scored 54 points and restricted the host Clay-Chalkville Cougars to 46 in the Vikings non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Vikings now sport a 12-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gardendale for a 6A Area 11 contest on Friday, January 6. Huffman will battle a Rockets team coming off a 68-64 non-league win over Hueytown (Hueytown, AL). The Rockets record now stands at 10-2.
The Cougars (5-8) will now prepare for their contest against Pinson Valley (Pinson, AL). The Indians come into the 6A Area 12 contest with a 14-0 record. In their last contest, Pinson Valley prevailed over Grovetown (Grovetown, GA), 77-55, in a non-league contest.
