Texas High School Basketball - D'Hanis crushes Utopia

January 3, 2023: D'Hanis, TX 78850

D'Hanis Cowboys (D'Hanis, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Utopia Buffaloes (Utopia, TX), 80-49 in a league bout.

With the win, D'Hanis upgrades its record to 12-3 on the season. The Cowboys travel to Nueces Canyon (Barksdale, TX) to clash with the Panthers in a 1A Region IV District 31 bout on Friday, January 6. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 2-6. Nueces Canyon lost 87-18 in their recent league bout against Rocksprings (Rocksprings, TX)

Next up, the Buffaloes clash with the Ingram Moore Warriors (Ingram, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 6. Utopia will attempt to upgrade on its 5-10 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 5-7 record after their 49-41 non-league loss to Fredericksburg (Fredericksburg, TX).
