The East Hickman County Eagles basketball team (Lyles, TN), was nudged 62-57 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host McEwen Warriors (McEwen, TN)
The Warriors now sport a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Houston County for a 1A District 11 battle on Friday, January 6. McEwen will battle a Fighting Irish team coming off a 54-42 non-league win over Montgomery Central (Cunningham, TN). The Fighting Irish record now stands at 4-7.
The Eagles (3-7) will now prepare for their battle against Camden Central (Camden, TN). The Lions come into the 2A District 11 battle with a 7-6 record. In their last battle, Camden Central was nudged by Dyer County (Newbern, TN), 59-42, in a non-league battle.
