East Ridge Warriors (Lick Creek, KY) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Richlands Blue Tornado (Richlands, VA), 97-65 in a non-league bout.

With the win, East Ridge upgrades its record to 6-5 on the season. The Warriors travel to Jenkins (Jenkins, KY) to play the Cavaliers in a District 59 bout on Thursday, January 5. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a record of 9-3.

Next up, the Blue Tornado play the Grundy Golden Wave (Grundy, VA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 5. Richlands will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Golden Wave go into the bout with a 2-5 record after their 55-53 league loss to Honaker (Honaker, VA).
