The Elgin Wildcats basketball team (Elgin, TX), was overwhelmed 58-32 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Pflugerville Connally Cougars (Austin, TX)

The Cougars now possess a 14-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cedar Creek for a 5A Region III District 23 battle on Friday, January 6. Pflugerville Connally will battle a Eagles team coming off a 76-39 league loss to East View (Georgetown, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 14-8.

The Wildcats (1-16) will now prepare for their battle against Georgetown (Georgetown, TX). The Eagles come into the 5A Region III District 23 battle with a 15-8 record. In their last battle, Georgetown trounced Pflugerville (Pflugerville, TX), 65-41, in a league battle.
