With the victory, Midway improves its record to 8-3 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Red Springs (Red Springs, NC) to play the Red Devils in a 2A Conference 7 challenge on Friday, January 6. The Red Devils come into the challenge with a record of 9-3. Red Springs won 51-50 in their recent league challenge against St. Pauls (St. Pauls, NC)

Next up, the Golden Tornadoes play the Lumberton Pirates (Lumberton, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 4. Fairmont will attempt to improve on its 2-8 season record. The Pirates come into the challenge with a 9-1 record after their 81-41 league win over South View (Hope Mills, NC).
