Humboldt Wildcats (Humboldt, IA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Fort Dodge Dodgers (Fort Dodge, IA), 68-59 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Humboldt upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Wildcats host Webster City (Webster City, IA) to play the Lynx in a North Central bout on Friday, January 6. The Lynx go into the bout with a record of 4-2. Webster City won 70-41 in their recent non-league bout against Greene County (Jefferson, IA)

Next up, the Dodgers play the Sioux City East Black Raiders (Sioux City, IA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 5. Fort Dodge will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Black Raiders go into the bout with a 9-0 record after their 72-45 non-league win over Spirit Lake (Spirit Lake, IA).
