Valencia Vikings (Valencia, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Golden Valley Grizzlies (Santa Clarita, CA), 77-63 in a league bout.

With the win, Valencia upgrades its record to 8-9 on the season. The Vikings travel to Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth, CA) to play the Trailblazers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 4. The Trailblazers go into the bout with a record of 13-3. Sierra Canyon won 81-66 in their recent non-league bout against Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas, NV)

Next up, the Grizzlies play the West Ranch Wildcats (Valencia, CA) in a Foothill bout, on Friday, January 6. Golden Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 12-7 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 16-1 record after their 74-41 league win over Hart (Newhall, CA).
