The Oakes Tornadoes basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting Griggs-Barnes County [Griggs County Central/North Central/Wimbledon-Courtenay/Midkota] to 38 in the Tornadoes league triumph on Tuesday.

The Tornadoes now sport a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Aberdeen Christian for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 7. Oakes will meet a Knights team coming off a 62-48 non-league win over Lower Brule (Lower Brule, SD). The Knights record now stands at 4-0.
