With the win, Walnut Springs upgrades its record to 1-5 on the season. The Hornets travel to Hill County (Hillsboro, TX) to play the Wolves in a non-league bout on Friday, January 13. The Wolves go into the bout with a record of 0-4.

Next up, the Dragons play the Covington Owls (Covington, TX) in a 1A Region III District 20 bout, on Friday, January 6. Iredell will attempt to upgrade on its 4-11 season record. The Owls go into the bout with a 13-6 record after their 53-39 league loss to Meridian (Meridian, TX).
