The Kemp Yellowjackets (Kemp, TX) basketball nipped the host Mildred Eagles (Corsicana, TX), 57-51 in Tuesday's league test.

The Yellowjackets (12-8) will now prepare for their test against Scurry-Rosser (Scurry, TX). The Wildcats go into the 3A Region III District 18 test with a 9-8 record. In their last test, Scurry-Rosser was tipped by Palmer (Palmer, TX), 56-39, in a league test.

The Eagles now own a 7-12 record. They play next when they travel to Blooming Grove for a 3A Region III District 18 test on Friday, January 6. Mildred will encounter a Lions squad coming off a 43-39 league loss to Malakoff (Malakoff, TX). The Lions record now stands at 7-4.
