Kerman Lions (Kerman, CA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Madera Coyotes (Madera, CA), 51-47 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Kerman upgrades its record to 10-6 on the campaign. The Lions host Hanford West (Hanford, CA) to play the Huskies in a Tri-County bout on Wednesday, January 11. The Huskies come into the bout with a record of 8-8.

Next up, the Coyotes face the Reedley Pirates (Reedley, CA) in a non-league game, on Thursday, January 5. Madera will attempt to move on its 10-7 season record. The Pirates enter the game with a 2-15 record after their 55-46 non-league loss to Dos Palos (Dos Palos, CA).
