Washington High School Basketball - Mercer Island tipped by Lake Washington

January 3, 2023: Kirkland, WA 98033

The Lake Washington Kangaroos basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Mercer Island Islanders to 51 in the Kangaroos league triumph on Tuesday.

The Kangaroos now sport a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Liberty for a 3A KingCo contest on Friday, January 6. Lake Washington will play a Patriots squad coming off a 86-51 league win over Interlake (Bellevue, WA). The Patriots record now stands at 8-4.

Next up, the Islanders play the Bellevue Wolverines (Bellevue, WA) in a 3A KingCo challenge, on Monday, January 9. Mercer Island will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record.
