Upperman Bees (Baxter, TN) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Macon County Tigers (Lafayette, TN), 52-37 in a league bout.

With the win, Upperman upgrades its record to 8-1 on the season. The Bees host Stone Memorial (Crossville, TN) to play the Panthers in a 3A District 7 bout on Friday, January 6. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 13-2. Stone Memorial won 57-42 in their recent league bout against White County (Sparta, TN)

Next up, the Tigers play the DeKalb County Tigers (Smithville, TN) in a 3A District 7 bout, on Friday, January 6. Macon County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 4-6 record after their 70-64 league loss to Livingston Academy (Livingston, TN).
