Madison County Red Raiders (Danielsville, GA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Walnut Grove Warriors (Walnut Grove, GA), 54-46 in a league bout.

With the victory, Madison County upgrades its record to 13-2 on the campaign. The Red Raiders travel to East Hall (Gainesville, GA) to play the Vikings in a non-league bout on Friday, January 6. The Vikings come into the bout with a record of 1-12. East Hall lost 68-58 in their recent league bout against Chestatee (Gainesville, GA)

Next up, the Warriors play the Johnson Knights (Gainesville, GA) in a AAAA Region 8A bout, on Friday, January 6. Walnut Grove will attempt to upgrade on its 5-10 season record. The Knights come into the bout with a 0-12 record after their 66-18 league loss to East Forsyth (Gainesville, GA).
