With the victory, Magnolia West upgrades its record to 11-4 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to College Station (College Station, TX) to play the Cougars in a 5A Region III District 21 challenge on Friday, January 6. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 16-8. College Station lost 71-47 in their recent league challenge against A&M Consolidated (College Station, TX)

Next up, the Bears play the Brenham Cubs (Brenham, TX) in a 5A Region III District 21 challenge, on Friday, January 6. Montgomery will attempt to upgrade on its 8-11 season record. The Cubs come into the challenge with a 12-9 record after their 65-43 league loss to Lake Creek (Montgomery, TX).
