West Caldwell Tech Eagles (West Caldwell, NJ) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Montclair Kimberley Academy Cougars (Montclair, NJ), 50-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, West Caldwell Tech upgrades its record to 2-2 on the season. The Eagles host Mountain Lakes (Mountain Lakes, NJ) to play the Lakers in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 7. The Lakers go into the bout with a record of 1-5. Mountain Lakes lost 64-57 in their recent non-league bout against Boonton (Boonton, NJ)

Next up, the Cougars play the Cedar Grove Panthers (Cedar Grove, NJ) in a Super Essex - Independence bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Montclair Kimberley Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record.
