The Nazareth Area Blue Eagles basketball team scored 54 points and held the host Stroudsburg Mountaineers to 53 in the Blue Eagles non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Blue Eagles now sport a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Louis E. Dieruff for a Lehigh Valley contest on Friday, January 6. Nazareth Area will battle a Huskies team coming off a 59-57 non-league loss to William Penn (York, PA). The Huskies record now stands at 3-7.

The Mountaineers (1-7) will now prepare for their contest against Northampton (Northampton, PA). The Konkrete Kids enter the non-league contest with a 2-6 record. In their last contest, Northampton was nudged by Emmaus (Emmaus, PA), 55-35, in a league contest.
