In Tuesday's league outing, the Simpson Academy Cougars (Mendenhall, MS) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Park Place Christian Academy Crusaders (Pearl, MS), by a margin of 74-27.
The Cougars (11-5) will now prepare for their outing against Leake Academy (Madden, MS). The Rebels go into the MAIS 5A District 2 outing with a 13-8 record. In their last outing, Leake Academy smashed Winston Academy (Louisville, MS), 55-22, in a league outing.
The Crusaders now own a 9-9 record. They play next when they travel to Lamar for a MAIS 5A District 2 outing on Friday, January 6.
