The Renaissance Phoenix basketball team scored 101 points and held the host Pershing Doughboys to 67 in the Phoenix league triumph on Tuesday.

The Phoenix now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Denby for a Detroit Public II contest on Friday, January 6. Renaissance will meet a Tars team coming off a 81-50 non-league loss to Western International (Detroit, MI). The Tars record now stands at 1-2.

The Doughboys (0-3) will now prepare for their contest against Mumford (Detroit, MI). The Mustangs enter the Detroit Public I contest with a 0-5 record. In their last contest, Mumford was routed by Renaissance (Detroit, MI), 67-36, in a league contest.
