The Wylie Pirates basketball team scored 55 points and held the host Sachse Mustangs to 41 in the Pirates league triumph on Tuesday.
The Pirates now sport a 13-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Garland for a 6A Region II District 9 contest on Friday, January 6. Wylie will meet a Owls team coming off a 61-39 league win over South Garland (Garland, TX). The Owls record now stands at 3-8.
The Mustangs (14-5) will now prepare for their contest against North Garland (Garland, TX). The Raiders enter the 6A Region II District 9 contest with a 3-15 record. In their last contest, North Garland was outscored by Naaman Forest (Garland, TX), 66-55, in a league contest.
