Texas High School Basketball - Abilene knocked off by Lubbock

The Lubbock Westerners basketball team scored 53 points and held the host Abilene Eagles to 35 in the Westerners league triumph on Tuesday.
The Westerners now sport a 13-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wylie for a 5A Region I District 4 contest on Friday, January 6. Lubbock will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 64-31 league loss to Monterey (Lubbock, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 12-12.
The Eagles (12-13) will now prepare for their contest against Coronado (Lubbock, TX). The Mustangs enter the 5A Region I District 4 contest with a 16-9 record. In their last contest, Coronado was defeated by Cooper (Lubbock, TX), 60-55, in a league contest.
