Shady Side Academy Bulldogs (Pittsburgh, PA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Apollo Ridge Vikings (Spring Church, PA), 66-34 in a league bout.

With the win, Shady Side Academy upgrades its record to 7-0 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Burrell (Lower Burrell, PA) to play the Bucs in a WPIAL 3A 3 bout on Thursday, January 5. The Bucs go into the bout with a record of 4-7. Burrell lost 59-44 in their recent league bout against Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, PA)

Next up, the Vikings play the Ligonier Valley Rams (Ligonier, PA) in a WPIAL 3A 3 bout, on Thursday, January 5. Apollo Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 7-2 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 2-5 record after their 43-26 league loss to Deer Lakes (Russellton, PA).
