Ingalls Bulldogs (Ingalls, KS) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Ashland Blue Jays (Ashland, KS), 50-46 in a league bout.

With the victory, Ingalls upgrades its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Meade (Meade, KS) to play the Buffaloes in a non-league bout on Friday, January 6. The Buffaloes come into the bout with a record of 1-5. Meade won 44-35 in their recent non-league bout against Sublette (Sublette, KS)

Next up, the Blue Jays play the Hodgeman County Longhorns (Jetmore, KS) in a Southern Plains-Iroquois bout, on Friday, January 6. Ashland will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Longhorns come into the bout with a 6-1 record after their 54-41 league win over Spearville (Spearville, KS).
