In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Indian River Braves (Chesapeake, VA) basketball squad nipped the visiting Bayside Marlins (Virginia Beach, VA), by a margin of 54-53.
The Braves (7-3) will now prepare for their outing against Grassfield (Chesapeake, VA). The Grizzlies go into the Southeastern outing with a 6-4 record. In their last outing, Grassfield was tipped by Bayside (Virginia Beach, VA), 51-40, in a non-league outing.
The Marlins now own a 7-5 record. They play next when they travel to Kellam for a Beach match on Friday, January 6. Bayside will meet a Knights team coming off a 51-30 league win over Cox (Virginia Beach, VA). The Knights record now stands at 5-4.
