George Wythe Maroons (Wytheville, VA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Bland County Bears (Rocky Gap, VA), 46-15 in a league bout.

With the victory, George Wythe upgrades its record to 7-1 on the campaign. The Maroons travel to Marion (Marion, VA) to play the Scarlet Hurricanes in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 4. The Scarlet Hurricanes come into the bout with a record of 8-3.

Next up, the Bears play the Grayson County Blue Devils (Independence, VA) in a Mountain Empire bout, on Friday, January 6. Bland County will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record.
