With the win, Bland upgrades its record to 7-3 on the season. The Tigers travel to Celeste (Celeste, TX) to play the Blue Devils in a 2A Region II District 14 bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 8-14.

Next up, the Wolves play the Whitewright Tigers (Whitewright, TX) in a 2A Region II District 14 bout, on Friday, January 6. Wolfe City will attempt to upgrade on its 17-9 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 3-7 record after their 40-16 league win over Celeste (Celeste, TX).
