Texas High School Basketball - Saginaw knocked off by Brewer

The Brewer Bears basketball team scored 59 points and held the visiting Saginaw Rough Riders to 43 in the Bears league triumph on Tuesday.

The Bears now sport a 18-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Aledo for a 5A Region I District 5 contest on Friday, January 6. Brewer will battle a Bearcats team coming off a 52-41 non-league loss to Nocona (Nocona, TX). The Bearcats record now stands at 11-12.

The Rough Riders (13-7) will now prepare for their contest against Azle (Azle, TX). The Hornets enter the 5A Region I District 5 contest with a 18-6 record. In their last contest, Azle was defeated by Northwest (Justin, TX), 41-37, in a league contest.
