New York High School Basketball - Maple Grove topped by Cassadaga Valley

The Cassadaga Valley Cougars basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the visiting Maple Grove Red Dragons to 35 in the Cougars non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Cougars now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Portville for a Section 6 Chautauqua/Cattaraugus - East I contest on Thursday, January 5. Cassadaga Valley will battle a Panthers team coming off a 43-31 non-league win over Port Allegany (Port Allegany, PA). The Panthers record now stands at 5-0.
The Red Dragons (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Clymer Central (Clymer, NY). The Pirates come into the Section 6 Chautauqua/Cattaraugus - West II contest with a 4-1 record. In their last contest, Clymer Central prevailed over Falconer (Falconer, NY), 50-23, in a non-league contest.
