In Tuesday's league outing, the Cimarron-Memorial Spartans (Las Vegas, NV) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Chaparral Cowboys (Las Vegas, NV), by a margin of 63-12.
The Spartans (8-3) will now prepare for their outing against Cheyenne (North Las Vegas, NV). The Desert Shields go into the non-league outing with a 1-3 record. In their last outing, Cheyenne was trounced by Desert Pines (Las Vegas, NV), 68-28, in a non-league outing.
The Cowboys now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Valley for a 4A Desert outing on Thursday, January 5. Chaparral will clash with a Vikings squad coming off a 50-38 league loss to Clark (Las Vegas, NV). The Vikings record now stands at 0-4.
