Hendersonville Bearcats (Hendersonville, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Chase Trojans (Forest City, NC), 64-17 in a league bout.

With the win, Hendersonville upgrades its record to 7-6 on the season. The Bearcats travel to East Henderson (East Flat Rock, NC) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 4. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 3-7. East Henderson lost 40-35 in their recent league bout against Tuscola (Waynesville, NC)

Next up, the Trojans play the Brevard Blue Devils (Brevard, NC) in a 2A Conference 41 bout, on Friday, January 6. Chase will attempt to upgrade on its 2-9 season record. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a 3-9 record after their 59-32 non-league loss to Pisgah (Canton, NC).
