Clayton-Ridge Eagles (Guttenburg, IA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host West Central Blue Devils (Maynard, IA), 31-27 in a league bout.

With the win, Clayton-Ridge upgrades its record to 3-6 on the season. The Eagles host South Winneshiek (Calmar, IA) to play the Warriors in a Upper Iowa bout on Friday, January 6. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 2-8. South Winneshiek lost 53-41 in their recent league bout against MFL MarMac (Monona, IA)

Next up, the Blue Devils play the Oelwein Huskies (Oelwein, IA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 5. West Central will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Huskies go into the bout with a 4-2 record after their 42-37 non-league win over Independence (Independence, IA).
