Cloquet Lumberjacks (Cloquet, MN) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Proctor Rails (Proctor, MN), 66-65 in a league bout.

With the win, Cloquet betters its record to 9-1 on the year. The Lumberjacks host Superior (Superior, WI) to meet the Spartans in a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 24. The Spartans go into the outing with a record of 11-1.

The Rails now hold a 8-4 record. They play next when they host Hermantown for a AAA Section 7 outing on Thursday, January 5. Proctor will clash with a Hawks squad coming off a 62-46 non-league loss to Duluth East (Duluth, MN). The Hawks record now stands at 2-9.
