Cortland Purple Tigers (Cortland, NY) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Jamesville-DeWitt Red Rams (DeWitt, NY), 47-29 in a league bout.

With the win, Cortland upgrades its record to 7-2 on the season. The Purple Tigers host Chenango Forks (Binghamton, NY) to clash with the Blue Devils in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 7. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 3-1.

Next up, the Red Rams clash with the Central Square Redhawks (Central Square, NY) in a Section 3 Freedom bout, on Saturday, January 7. Jamesville-DeWitt will attempt to upgrade on its 5-1 season record.
