The Stratford Elks basketball team scored 34 points and held the visiting Dalhart Wolves to 28 in the Elks non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Elks now sport a 13-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sanford-Fritch for a 2A Region I District 1 contest on Friday, January 6. Stratford will battle a Eagles team coming off a 65-23 non-league win over Memphis (Memphis, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 12-3.

The Wolves (7-4) will now prepare for their contest against Tulia (Tulia, TX). The Hornets enter the 3A Region I District 1 contest with a 11-13 record. In their last contest, Tulia nudged Dimmitt (Dimmitt, TX), 35-27, in a non-league contest.
