The Grape Creek Eagles basketball team scored 29 points and held the visiting San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy Eagles to 22 in the Eagles league triumph on Tuesday.
The Eagles now sport a 3-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Jim Ned for a 3A Region I District 6 contest on Friday, January 6. Grape Creek will meet a Indians team coming off a 59-45 league win over Coahoma (Coahoma, TX). The Indians record now stands at 13-1.
The Eagles (2-13) will now prepare for their contest against Clyde (Clyde, TX). The Bulldogs enter the 3A Region I District 6 contest with a 10-13 record. In their last contest, Clyde was nudged by Wall (Wall, TX), 57-35, in a league contest.
