Texas High School Basketball - Henrietta knocked off by Vernon

The Vernon Lions basketball team scored 52 points and held the visiting Henrietta Bearcats to 42 in the Lions league triumph on Tuesday.
The Lions now sport a 11-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to City View for a 3A Region I District 7 contest on Friday, January 6. Vernon will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 55-47 non-league loss to Krum (Krum, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 16-7.
The Bearcats (8-10) will now prepare for their contest against Bowie (Bowie, TX). The Jackrabbits enter the 3A Region I District 7 contest with a 16-7 record. In their last contest, Bowie ran past Jacksboro (Jacksboro, TX), 44-30, in a league contest.
