Spectators at Tuesday's non-league test between the Northwood Gators (Lena, LA) and the host Hicks Pirates (Leesville, LA), witnessed Northwood's basketball squad nip Hicks by a margin of 51-47.

The Gators (7-3) will now prepare for their test against Bastrop (Bastrop, LA). The Rams go into the non-league test with a 15-2 record. In their last test, Bastrop got by Madison (Tallulah, LA), 58-29, in a non-league test.

The Pirates now own a 13-5 record. They play next when they travel to Barbe for a non-league test on Friday, January 6. Hicks will encounter a Buccaneers squad coming off a 71-42 non-league win over Rosepine (Rosepine, LA). The Buccaneers record now stands at 13-2.
