The Holmen Vikings basketball team scored 61 points and held the visiting La Crosse Central Riverhawks to 51 in the Vikings league triumph on Tuesday.
The Vikings now sport a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chippewa Falls for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 5. Holmen will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 46-38 non-league loss to Onalaska (Onalaska, WI). The Cardinals record now stands at 2-6.
The Riverhawks (3-8) will now prepare for their contest against La Crosse Logan (La Crosse, WI). The Rangers enter the Mississippi Valley contest with a 5-4 record. In their last contest, La Crosse Logan ran past Tomah (Tomah, WI), 50-44, in a league contest.
