Nevada High School Basketball - Lake Mead Academy topped by Needles

The Needles Mustangs basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the host Lake Mead Academy Eagles to 44 in the Mustangs league victory on Tuesday.

The Mustangs now sport a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Democracy Prep Agassi Campus for a 2A Southern contest on Friday, January 6. Needles will battle a Blue Knights team coming off a 57-16 league win over The Meadows School (Las Vegas, NV). The Blue Knights record now stands at 10-3.

The Eagles (6-4) will now prepare for their contest against Laughlin (Laughlin, NV). The Cougars come into the 2A Southern contest with a 2-5 record. In their last contest, Laughlin dropped by GV Christian (Henderson, NV), 37-12, in a non-league contest.
