The Mohawk Mustangs (Marcola, OR) basketball crushed the visiting Mapleton Sailors (Mapleton, OR), 46-20 in Tuesday's league test.
The Mustangs (3-6) will now prepare for their test against Triangle Lake (Blachly, OR). The Lakers go into the 1A Mountain West test with a 4-1 record. In their last test, Triangle Lake walloped Camas Valley (Camas Valley, OR), 42-34, in a non-league test.
The Sailors now own a 1-9 record. They play next when they travel to Siletz Valley for a 1A Mountain West test on Thursday, January 5. Mapleton will encounter a squad coming off a 55-25 non-league loss to Camas Valley (Camas Valley, OR). The record now stands at 0-6.
