The Stevens Cardinals (Claremont, NH) basketball crushed the visiting Newport Tigers (Newport, NH), 55-34 in Tuesday's league test.
The Cardinals (3-2) will now prepare for their test against Mascoma (Canaan, NH). The Royals go into the Division III test with a 2-1 record. In their last test, Mascoma walloped Inter-Lakes (Meredith, NH), 55-40, in a league test.
The Tigers now own a 0-4 record. They play next when they host Monadnock for a Division III test on Friday, January 6. Newport will encounter a Huskies squad coming off a 34-32 league loss to Kearsarge (North Sutton, NH). The Huskies record now stands at 2-2.
