North Carolina High School Basketball - Northampton County thwarts Southeast Halifax

January 3, 2023: Gaston, NC 27832

The Northampton County Jaguars (Gaston, NC) basketball knocked off the visiting Southeast Halifax Trojans (Halifax, NC), 49-33 in Tuesday's league test.

The Jaguars (6-0) will now prepare for their test against North Edgecombe (Tarboro, NC). The Warriors go into the 1A Conference 9 test with a 4-5 record.

The Trojans now own a 5-3 record. They play next when they host Washington County for a non-league test on Thursday, January 5. Southeast Halifax will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 69-44 league loss to Perquimans (Hertford, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 3-6.
