The Pine Tree Pirates basketball team (Longview, TX), was overwhelmed 58-26 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Tyler Lions (Tyler, TX)
The Lions now possess a 17-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Marshall for a 5A Region II District 15 battle on Friday, January 6. Tyler will confront a Mavericks team coming off a 44-33 league loss to Longview (Longview, TX). The Mavericks record now stands at 7-13.
The Pirates (10-11) will now prepare for their battle against Hallsville (Hallsville, TX). The Bobcats come into the 5A Region II District 15 battle with a 4-17 record. In their last battle, Hallsville was overwhelmed by Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, TX), 69-30, in a league battle.
