The Plainfield Panthers (Central Village, CT) basketball nipped the host Putnam Clippers (Putnam, CT), 47-42 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Panthers (3-3) will now prepare for their test against Woodstock Academy (Woodstock, CT). The Centaurs go into the non-league test with a 6-2 record. In their last test, Woodstock Academy was tipped by Killingly (Killingly, CT), 41-25, in a non-league test.
The Clippers now own a 3-5 record. They play next when they travel to Griswold for a non-league test on Thursday, January 5. Putnam will encounter a Wolverines squad coming off a 44-10 non-league win over Tourtellotte (North Grosvenordale, CT). The Wolverines record now stands at 2-4.
