William Campbell Generals (Naruna, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Rustburg Red Devils (Rustburg, VA), 38-20 in a non-league bout.

With the win, William Campbell upgrades its record to 3-4 on the season. The Generals host Altavista (Altavista, VA) to play the Colonels in a Dogwood bout on Friday, January 6. The Colonels go into the bout with a record of 3-6. Altavista lost 56-43 in their recent league bout against Gretna (Gretna, VA)

Next up, the Red Devils play the Glass Hilltoppers (Lynchburg, VA) in a Seminole bout, on Thursday, January 5. Rustburg will attempt to upgrade on its 0-8 season record. The Hilltoppers go into the bout with a 4-5 record after their 67-52 non-league loss to Magna Vista (Ridgeway, VA).
