Southwest Georgia Academy Warriors (Damascus, GA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Terrell Academy Eagles (Dawson, GA), 35-33 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Southwest Georgia Academy upgrades its record to 7-5 on the season. The Warriors travel to Southland Academy (Americus, GA) to play the Raiders in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 5. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 11-0. Southland Academy won 59-34 in their recent non-league bout against Glenwood (Phenix City, AL)

Next up, the Eagles play the Deerfield-Windsor Knights (Albany, GA) in a GIAA AAAA/AAA District 3 bout, on Friday, January 6. Terrell Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 9-4 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 9-1 record after their 57-42 non-league win over Colquitt County (Norman Park, GA).
