The Eastern Montgomery Mustangs basketball team (Elliston, VA), was nudged 26-25 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Craig County Rockets (New Castle, VA)
The Rockets now possess a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bath County for a non-league battle on Wednesday, January 4. Craig County will confront a Chargers team coming off a 49-15 non-league loss to Narrows (Narrows, VA). The Chargers record now stands at 0-3.
The Mustangs (3-4) will now prepare for their battle against Parry McCluer (Buena Vista, VA). The Fighting Blues come into the non-league battle with a 4-5 record. In their last battle, Parry McCluer edged Highland (Monterey, VA), 35-29, in a non-league battle.
