The Parry McCluer Fighting Blues (Buena Vista, VA) basketball nipped the visiting Highland Rams (Monterey, VA), 35-29 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Fighting Blues (4-5) will now prepare for their test against Eastern Montgomery (Elliston, VA). The Mustangs go into the non-league test with a 3-4 record. In their last test, Eastern Montgomery was tipped by Craig County (New Castle, VA), 26-25, in a non-league test.
The Rams now own a 0-5 record. They play next when they host Narrows for a non-league test on Friday, January 6. Highland will encounter a Green Waves squad coming off a 33-19 non-league win over Giles (Pearisburg, VA). The Green Waves record now stands at 4-1.
