A.L. Brown Wonders (Kannapolis, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Carson Cougars (China Grove, NC), 36-33 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, A.L. Brown upgrades its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Wonders host West Cabarrus (Concord, NC) to play the Wolverines in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 4. The Wolverines come into the bout with a record of 3-3. West Cabarrus lost 46-32 in their recent non-league bout against Hickory Ridge (Harrisburg, NC)

Next up, the Cougars play the Northwest Cabarrus Trojans (Concord, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 6. Carson will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record. The Trojans come into the bout with a 4-3 record after their 40-23 non-league win over East Rowan (Salisbury, NC).
